Where stories
find home.
India has always spoken through what it creates — in the rhythm of a weave, the beauty of a hand-drawn print, the depth of a colour. We bring those stories closer to you, and leave space for you to make them your own.

Why it costs what it costs
Eleven days at the pit loom,
for six and a half metres.
A Kota Doria saree is roughly three hundred thousand intersections of cotton and silk, each one counted. The weaver sits with their legs in a pit below the loom, because that is the only way to reach the treadles.
We buy directly from the people at that loom. No middle agent, no auction floor, no bulk order that forces a shortcut. It makes our catalogue smaller and our prices honest.
